Polish Christmas baubles offer two kinds of ornaments to place on the top of the Christmas tree.
The first ones are Christmas baubles – toppers. The second type of ornament crowning the entire decoration of our Christmas tree, is a star.
Its symbolism and role in Christmas decorations is fully justified: the Star of Bethlehem was the one shining over the barn, and then lead the three sages with gifts. No wonder that its glass image has become one of the oldest and most popular Christmas ornaments.
Our star, with the span of its five arms exceeding 22 cm, is very splendid. It shimmers and shines with shades of the strong golden colour of glitters used in the decorations, from delicate at the edges, to three-dimensional coarse and spherical glitters in the centre of the bauble. It's a magnificent ornament, due to its symbolic universality perfectly matching all styles of Christmas decorations.
