This is what the most popular glass Christmas baubles of the 1950s and 1960s looked like.
Not a round ornament, but a beautiful oblong shape with a characteristic pointed tip, popularly known as a lemon. And of course the reflector! Its execution requires real skills from a glass bauble blower: when the shape is ready, but the glass is still very hot, a special plunger is carefully pressed on the wall of the ornament towards the center. And our Christmas bauble presented here has three such reflectors, evenly distributed in the central part!
Our Christmas bauble with a triple reflector combines an original shape with a beautiful classic decoration. The background for the reflectors is matte white lacquer with delicate golden leaves and glass rubies. The top and bottom of our bauble is a vivid red matte varnish, decorated with a subtle glossy pattern. Expressive gold glitter surrounds the reflectors themselves and emphasizes the divisions of the decorations. The whole thing - very elegant!
