Three decades ago, purple glass baubles reigned supreme on Christmas trees.

This mainly applies to the European market, where Christmas trees were dressed in one fashionable color for baubles of all shapes, including the tree-top. Most often they were plain baubles, without decorations, sometimes additionally decorated with textile bows. Today, the violet color is still important in Christmas decorations, but above all as a variety or complement to the traditional golden and red colors.

The Christmas ornament that we present here has a background like from the past - in a beautiful matte purple. The background is contrasted with the rich, double-sided decoration in the form of large rosettes. Intricate details, made with golden varnish and golden glitter, create a stylized, floral pattern. The center of each rosette is additionally decorated with a beautiful shiny glass amethyst.
