Every season of the year has its favourite plants which over the years have acquired symbolic meaning and are unambiguously associated with a particular aura.

For winter and the Christmas season it is certainly the poinsettia, mistletoe, holly and conifer twigs.

We decided to combine all these traditional winter plant motifs and make them into a common decoration for the glass bauble presented here. The poinsettias are the real stars. There are two red poinsettias and one white poinsettia on our bauble that definitely stand out in the foreground. They are surrounded by sprigs of holly, mistletoe and conifers. The same floral combination also forms the decoration on the back of the bauble.

Take a close look at how our decoration was performed. The leaves and petals are shaded, a layer of tiny convex balls creates an impression of spaciousness and green glitter in two shades frames the edges. The decoration is enlivened by the many glass stones used: rubies on the holly, white pearls on the mistletoe and shiny gold balls as the centres of the poinsettias. The background of our bauble is also worth noting. It is shiny and shaded, from the green at the bottom of the ball to the golden colour at the cap. The bauble looks very special!
