Vedutas, that is, city views known and popular since 17th century appeared mainly in painting, drawing, or graphics. Since recently they have also appeared on Christmas decorations.

This is not surprising! As we have often wrote, glass Christmas tree baubles quite eagerly are inspired by the achievements of plastic arts and reinterpret noble and vintage patterns.
Here you can see a classic city landscape - a veduta - presented on a glass bauble. In the foreground you can see a vast park covered in snow with conifers adorned with white, bridge over frozen stream and outlines of tree without leaves. The time is late, the park is almost empty, and the weak light of alley lanterns illuminates the darkness with difficulty. The last strollers return to warm houses. The background constitutes as a backdrop for the park: it consists of skyscrapers illuminated by countless windows. The whole decoration is kept in uniform colouring that connects the white colour of the painting and navy blue of the shining background. Only the red coat of a stroller stands out with a strong, lively accent.
Our landscape baubles are quite atmospheric. The presented view is full of melancholy, as well as warmth and lyricism.
