Our hearts are hand-decorated baubles, so the method used to make their elaborate embellishments deserves special attention. The bauble's surface is covered by matt red varnish in a vivid shade. It is an excellent background for the gold, very original decoration. We have an interesting repetition of the heart's contour: first, the edges of the bauble itself, then, a red heart framed in a decorative net, and finally, a golden heart in the centre of the ornament, along with another diamond heart in the middle. Please, note the important role of small silver dots in the golden net – they brighten the entire decoration and beautifully harmonise with the central diamond.
