In front of you there are our Christmas baubles with a very unusual shape.
They are translucent and flat like medallions ornaments, inspired by the famous Christmas peppermint candies.
It is worth mentioning that these sweets were popular European sweets as early as the mid-19th century. Their distinctive flavour was created by adding peppermint to sugar. They first became popular on the streets of London and from there peppermint sweets in various forms quickly spread throughout Europe. It wasn't long before these sweets were also associated with the winter holidays. Peppermint leaves a cold feeling in the mouth and as Christmas is associated with snow and ice, peppermint candy evoked frosty associations.
Here we take a look at our Christmas tree bauble – the red candy. This type of decoration is familiar to all gourmet of peppermint sweets. It consists of wavy red stripes spreading from the centre of the bauble, interspersed with the colour of Christmas green. The red here comes in three shades: red lacquer, red glitter and red sparkled by glass balls on the surface. The bauble is transparent, so that the decoration of the other side shines through in strips of glittery lacquer. This gives the whole impression of movement.
Be sure to take a look at our Christmas bauble – the pink candy. Not only gourmets are welcome!
