Let’s start with the blown shape – it is a 10-centimeter sphere, enriched with seven funnel-shaped cavities. Manufacture of such delicate and precise cavities in thin glass requires truly masterful skills that are so rare these days.
Decoration is also very unique. The beauty of flowers of amaryllis has been depicted by delicate brush strokes. Their funnel-shaped structure is emphasized by the above-mentioned cavities in the sphere, which are surrounded by white flakes with delicate pink veining. Due to transparent background of the bauble, the entire decoration is perfectly visible from each side. The subtle nature of the drawing, selection of colors and precision of the details – these are the features that describe truly artistic hand-painted baubles. Just like our amaryllis sphere.
