This is the background of the bauble, made with varnish on a non-silver bauble, which gave the effect of delicate transparency. The golden balls that fill some of our nebulas are in the same tone. Intense turquoise contrasts with beige and light gold, applied to the bauble with strong, painterly brush strokes. In places it is brightened by tiny glass balls on the surface.
